About Me

My name is Ashley Mora Healing-Scheremeta. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me.

With experience designing curriculum and teaching mathematics at the elementary, middle and high school levels in five different countries, and in areas outside the traditional classroom, I have a very diverse background with much to offer.

In my previous positions as Mathematics Department Chairperson and Curriculum Developer, I have led discussions and trained colleagues on advancements in mathematics education and technological integration. In my positions as Mathematics Teacher, I received consistent recognition for creating inviting learning environments and facilitating academic growth among my students. I attribute this to my enthusiasm for and expertise in mathematics, as well as my capacity to adapt teaching practices based on the needs of my students and the increasingly digital world they live in.

I take pride in my ability to foster meaningful relationships with all stakeholders in education. My students and their families know me as a strong advocate who puts their needs first. My former colleagues see me as a leader and team player. My past administrators valued my opinions and trusted me to make important decisions.

I recently stopped teaching full time to pursue my dream of starting a company. Throughout my years in the classroom, I found that working with students outside of traditional school walls provides the best opportunity to focus on individual strengths, weaknesses, interests and needs. My goal is to not only provide excellent instruction on the curriculum, but serve as a role model and inspiration for my students to find their passion and to become valuable members of society.
